Biography of the Hon Justine Elliot MP, Australian Parliamentary Secretary for Trade

Justine Elliot has been the Federal Member for Richmond on the North Coast of NSW since 2004.

Justine graduated from Queensland University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and History. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations from Griffith University.

Before becoming a Federal Parliamentarian, Justine worked as a Youth Justice Convenor with the NSW Department of Juvenile Justice, drawing on her seven years experience as a police officer. She was a community representative on the Northern Rivers Area Health Service Hospital and Community Health Council.

Justine was previously the Minister for Ageing. Prior to becoming a Minister she was a member of the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Health and Ageing.

Justine is married to Craig and they have two children, Alexandra and Joe.
