The Albanese Government is supporting NGOs to access innovative financing, pioneering new approaches to traditional aid by mobilising greater private sector investment.
Multiple organisations will share in $10 million through the Indo-Pacific NGO Blended Finance Accelerator, helping unlock a pipeline of up to $141 million in prospective private investment, enabling our partners to scaleup initiatives that strengthen gender equality and sustainable development.
Through the program, Good Return will increase its Impact Investment Fund II, supporting women-led and climate-resilient micro, small and medium businesses.
Oxfam Australia, in partnership with OBOR Management, will design the EquiGreen Fund to back early-stage climate-smart enterprises in Cambodia, Indonesia and Timor-Leste.
Save the Children Global Ventures will advance its Asia Healthcare Fund, investing in innovative health ventures to improve outcomes for women and children.
Xpand Foundation, Foundation Rai Matak and Pollination will design a new platform to support community-led agroforestry and increase farmer incomes in Timor-Leste.
This innovation will help build a region that is more secure, economically resilient and better equipped to meet our shared challenges, firmly in Australia’s national interests.
