Today I will travel to Vietnam and Cambodia to strengthen Australia's partnerships in Southeast Asia and advance our shared security, prosperity and resilience.
Our relationships with Vietnam and Cambodia are underpinned by enduring people-to-people ties, trade and investment links, and longstanding development partnerships.
I will meet with counterparts to discuss how we can deepen cooperation on shared challenges, including energy, food security, climate change and economic resilience.
In Vietnam, I will launch the Australia Corner at Can Tho University which will support communities in the Mekong Delta to build resilience to a changing climate.
In Cambodia, my engagements will focus on partnerships that strengthen social protection, invest in people and help communities build stronger and more secure livelihoods.
Across the trip, I will visit Australian-supported programs that deliver practical outcomes for communities while building a more resilient and prosperous region.
