Attending the US-Pacific Investment Summit

  • Media Release
22 February 2026

Today, I will travel to Honolulu to represent Australia at The Pacific Agenda: Investment, Security and Shared Prosperity Summit.

The United States of America has invited Pacific Island countries and key regional partners to advance economic development opportunities to shape a peaceful, stable and prosperous region.

This Summit will bring together the Pacific family with key partners and investors from the private sector and financial institutions to engage on regional priorities and investment opportunities.

While in Honolulu, I will also meet with Pacific Leaders and senior US Government representatives to listen to Pacific priorities, discuss Australia’s contribution to Pacific economic growth, and enhance coordination efforts with other development partners to maximise the effectiveness of our investments in the region.

This Summit will advance our shared interest, with the Pacific family and the United States, in a region that enables all our economies to grow and prosper together.

Further information on Australia’s partnerships with Pacific Island countries can be found within DFAT’s Australia and the Pacific fact sheets.
